Celebrate Easter in style with our Hot Cross Bun French Toast Fingers, a festive twist that transforms traditional Hot Cross Buns into a delightful breakfast treat. As you gather with loved ones during this joyous season, these cinnamon-infused fingers, dipped in eggs, and adorned with a touch of chocolate, add a special touch to your Easter morning. Serves 4.
Ingredients:
1 pack of Couplands Traditional Hot Cross Buns
5 eggs
2/3 cup of milk
1 tbsp butter
Cinnamon sugar
100g milk chocolate – melted
Method:
Slice 6 Couplands Hot Cross Buns into fingers.
In a bowl, add 2/3 cup of milk to 5 eggs. Whisk until combined.
Soak each hot cross bun finger in the egg mixture.
Place a frying pan on low to medium heat & fry each hot cross bun finger in butter. Cook each side until golden brown.
Let the hot cross bun fingers cool slightly, before tossing them in cinnamon sugar for some extra crunch.
Place milk chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and melt in 30 second increments until silky smooth.
Serve the Hot Cross Bun French Toast Fingers with melted chocolate as dipping sauce and enjoy!

Our Spicy Fruit Loaf French Toast is the perfect weekend breakfast treat! Try the recipe for yourself using Coupland’s Spicy Fruit Loaf. Serves 4.
1. In a shallow dish or bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon and soft brown sugar.
2. Dip both sides of a slice of Spicy Fruit Loaf into the egg mixture.
3. Place a frying pan on low to medium heat & fry the soaked loaf slices in butter.
4. Cook each side until golden brown.
5. Repeat with the remaining slices of Spicy Fruit Loaf.
6. Top the French Toast with a dusting of icing sugar, maple syrup and berries of your choice. Get creative and make it your own!
